The Cream Legbar :
The Cream Legbar is the most complex of the auto-sexing breeds as it’s make up is from more than just two other breeds of bird. It is very similar to a Silver Legbar in colouring and originally it laid a white egg as the Gold Legbar was used in developing it along with a Brown Leghorn, Barred Plymouth Rock and Araucana, who gave it the blue eggs along with the crest to make it distinguishable from the other Legbars.
Their nature is similar to the other Legbars so they can be a bit flighty in comparison to other breeds but with handling at a young age they can become quite tame. As mentioned above they lay beautiful blue eggs which is their main appeal along with their pretty crest and colouring however, the true Cream Legbar has become so popular that many of them on the market today are not the ‘real McCoy’ and their name is being misused. This breed needs some careful breeders to look after it to ensure the blue egg laying gene is kept pure.
